How to Find Out If You Can Sell Your Tickets Today
Life happens and plans change, so Ticketmaster has built a way for you to safely and instantly sell tickets you can no longer use. We’ve taken the waiting out of selling, and made it even easier for you to sell your tickets when you can’t be there. If you need to sell your tickets, a competitive offer could already be waiting for you.
Read on for more information on how to find out if you can sell your tickets today on Ticketmaster.
How do I know if I have an offer to sell my tickets today?
Here’s how to find out if a competitive offer is waiting for your tickets:
- Sign in to your Ticketmaster account and view your event
- Click the “Sell” button to select your seats, then hit “Continue”
- If you see the option to “Sell Your Tickets Now,” an offer is waiting
- Click “View Offer” to review details and select your preferred method of payment
- Click “Accept Offer” and you’re good to go
Note: Offers will not be displayed for tickets that are listed by entering in barcode information.
How do I know if my event tickets are able to be resold on Ticketmaster?
To find out if your tickets are eligible to be resold, click the Sell button on your event details page. If resale is available, you’ll be able to list your tickets for sale. If resale is not available, you’ll see a message detailing that the Event Organizer has not enabled resale for your event, and therefore selling your tickets through Ticketmaster is not an option. Not all events or tickets are available for resale, and the resale options may be turned off or turned on at any time at the Event Organizer’s discretion. Additionally, Ticketmaster does not currently provide the option to resell tickets to third-party events (events where Ticketmaster is not the primary ticketer) on our site.
How long will the offer on my tickets be available?
The opportunity to sell your tickets instantly will vary depending on the event. Some ticket offers to sell instantly might be available for a few days, or a few weeks — it depends on demand. If you see an offer for your tickets and you know that you want to sell them instantly, your best bet is to take advantage of the immediate offer and sell your tickets. If you do not accept your offer, we cannot guarantee that another offer will be made before your event.
When will I be paid if I choose to sell my tickets today?
If you choose to accept your offer and sell your tickets today, you’ll be paid via your requested method of payment. Make sure your account information is up to date, including your taxpayer information, and you’ll typically receive your payout typically within 5-7 business days of selling your tickets. Learn more about how and when you’ll get paid for selling tickets.
What’s the difference between listing my tickets for sale and selling them today?
When you list your tickets for sale, they’ll be displayed on the world’s largest ticket marketplace and discoverable for fans looking to buy tickets to the event. If someone has made an offer for your tickets, you’ll be able to see this offer and choose to sell your tickets today – taking the waiting out of selling. Whether you choose to sell your tickets today, or list them on Ticketmaster’s Marketplace, you’ll be paid via your requested method of payment. If you choose to sell your tickets today, you’ll typically receive your payout within seven days. If you list them on the Ticketmaster Marketplace, you’ll typically be paid within seven days after your tickets sell.
