The venue known today as the Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park opened back in 1944 as North Fulton Park Amphitheater. Its subsequent names have included Delta Classic Chastain Park Amphitheater and State Bank Amphitheatre, but moniker notwithstanding, it’s always been a magnet for some of the greatest performers around, from symphony orchestras to rock ’n’ roll superstars.
