The Fillmore Philadelphia History
Opened in 2015 on the site of the former Ajax Metal Company, The Fillmore Philadelphia quickly established itself as one of Philadelphia’s premier midsize concert halls. The 2,500-capacity Fillmore Philly boasts crystal chandeliers and superlative acoustics, while its club-within-a-club The Foundry, on the building’s second floor, hosts intimate shows for local acts and up-and-comers from around the world.
The Fillmore Philadelphia Performers
The Fillmore Philadelphia opened on October 1, 2015, with a show starring hometown heroes Daryl Hall & John Oates. Since then, a variety of artists have headlined, including The Disco Biscuits, The Front Bottoms and The War on Drugs. The Fillmore Philly is also home to the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest, sponsored by the Philadelphia-based shredders’ journal Decibel.
