Death Becomes Her

Want perfection? Take a sip and drink Death Becomes Her all the way down! The wickedly hilarious Broadway adaptation of the beloved cult classic is a riotous escape starring Megan Hilty as fading starlet Madeline Ashton and Jennifer Simard as Helen Sharp, an aspiring writer and Madeline’s oldest and very best frenemy. Locked in a battle for the affections of Christopher Sieber’s Dr. Ernest Menville — Helen’s ex-fiancé-turned-Madeline’s husband — the two women stumble upon the promise of immortality in the hands of Michelle Williams’ mysterious Viola Van Horn.

In an exclusive interview with Ticketmaster, the Destiny’s Child member opened up about her devious role in the Tony-winning musical, which was inspired by Isabella Rossellini in the original film: “[Am I] a sorcerer? [Am I] a witch?…Viola’s a good saleswoman. She’s an influencer, you know?”

SIX

Divorced, beheaded, survived: the Tony Award-winning SIX remains a crowd favorite for Broadway lovers of all ages. The herstorical musical reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII as powerful pop divas. With an all-female cast, each queen takes on the role of a modern pop star, sharing her story and arguing who had the toughest fate. Created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss during their time at Cambridge University, SIX debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017. Following a successful run in London’s West End, the show made its Broadway premiere in October 2021, with Moss making history as the youngest female director of a Broadway musical.

Just In Time

Jonathan Groff turns the Circle in the Square Theatre into his own personal nightclub in Just In Time — transforming into Bobby Darin as he belts out the crooner’s most famous hits like “Beyond the Sea,” “Mack the Knife” and “Dream Lover.” Telling the story of Darin’s life and career, the Tony-nominated production also stars Gracie Lawrence as Connie Francis and Sadie Dickerson as Sandra Dee.

In an exclusive interview with Ticketmaster, Erika Henningsen — who played the role of Sandra Dee through September 14, 2025 — opened up about the enduring nature of Darin’s catalog filled with pioneering pop music, saying, “Some of the best songs are from this era. They’re like jewelbox songs, and it may just take a listen with fresh ears and a fresh take, the way Just In Time does, to be reminded of why they have stood the test of time.”

Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club

Life is a cabaret, old chum! After nearly 18 months of lighting up the August Wilson Theatre with a hearty “Willkommen,” Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club is set to play its final performance on September 21, making this the last chance to experience the revival’s immersive, spellbinding magic starring Marisha Wallace as Sally Bowles. (Sadly, Billy Porter was forced to exit the production early as Cabaret’s Emcee as he recovers from a health emergency.) So put down the knitting, the book and the broom, head to the Kit Kat Club and come hear the music play!

Jeff Ross: Take a Banana For The Ride

Taking over the Nederlander Theatre for his semi-autobiographical one-man show, Jeff Ross has brought Broadway audiences on an uproarious (and at times, surprisingly poignant) journey through his life and career as one of the most veteran roast comedians of the stand-up circuit. The production is filled with, in his own words, “uncensored jokes, uplifting stories, songs and even some live roasting of the bravest volunteers.” The “Roastmaster General” will take his final bow on September 28.
